Good to know about HP printers
HP+ and “e” printers
Many HP models ending in “e” (for example DeskJet 2855e or OfficeJet Pro 9015e) can be HP+ printers. HP+ printers typically need an HP account and an internet connection, and are designed for original HP ink. If one goes offline or shows account errors, check its internet connection and sign-in in HP Smart first.
Cartridge errors
Some HP printers use dynamic security, which can block certain non-HP or refilled cartridges after a firmware update. If a cartridge suddenly shows as “problem” or “incompatible”, try an original HP cartridge before assuming the printer is faulty.
