Good to know about Brother printers
Toner vs drum
Most Brother lasers use a separate toner cartridge and drum unit. “Replace Toner” and “Replace Drum” are different messages. After replacing a drum, the drum counter usually needs resetting — the steps are in your model’s manual on Brother’s support site.
Wi-Fi Direct
Many Brother printers can create their own Wi-Fi Direct network. It’s a handy backup for printing from a phone if your main Wi-Fi is giving trouble.
