Canon imageCLASS setup and troubleshooting
imageCLASS printers are Canon’s laser printers and laser all-in-ones for home offices and small businesses. They’re reliable workhorses; most trouble comes from drivers and network setup.
How to set up a Canon imageCLASS
- Connect to Wi-Fi from the control panel’s wireless setup, or connect an Ethernet cable if available.
- Download the driver package for your exact model and OS from Canon’s support site.
- Install MF Scan Utility for scanning to your computer.
- Reserve the printer’s IP address in your router.
Then add it to your computer: Windows 11 · Windows 10 · Mac · Chromebook · Phone
Worth knowing
imageCLASS models use Canon’s laser drivers (often UFR II), not the PIXMA drivers — make sure you download the right one.

Finding your manual and official support
Your exact model’s user guide, drivers and warranty support are on Canon’s official site: Canon U.S.A. Support (opens the manufacturer’s site). Search for the full model number printed on the front or on the label inside the ink/toner door.
